Fake Fruits on Matisse

By Jennifer Abessira
$1,950.00

This digital painting was created by the artist Jennifer Abessira.

The exploding animals from the works of Henri Matisse fascinate Jennifer. Matisse's incessant pace of work, like Jennifer's own pace of work, seems to be in constant motion. Today, we are lost in an endless variety of possibilities, Matisse constitutes a safe haven for the creator as she seeks meaning. This work is a dialogue with Matisse.

Jennifer also quotes Picasso in the context of this work “Good artists copy, great artists steal."

#ElastiqueProject series artwork

Elastique attempts to create an order in our reality, which is ever more multifaceted.

Within this multitude of images, the process of creation is the process of living.          Jeniffer produces images from her daily life; she has no studio, a fact that dictates a spontaneous approach towards the medium of image-making.

The associations she makes could originate only from the Internet, a chaotic field that allows Jeniffer to create new forms of image-making.
